Wishing you a happy Rainbow Birthday!!!

Hello everyone,

I´m Maria from  My Craftway to Happiness and I´m one of the lucky ladies that made it into Lesley´s amazing Design Team. I´m beyond honored that I´m in it with all the super talented ladies.

The card I want to show you today is a very Happy Rainbow Birthdaycard using the Elephant of surprise stamps and it´s coordinating dies.

Many of you know that I love rainbows in all forms and shapes. They embody happiness to me and so they are just perfect for a rainbow card.  For this card I started with the background panel that I diecut with a frame die from whisper white cardstock. I then took my blending tools and distressinks in all the rainbow colors and started blending this beautiful background.

After it was done I flicked some drops of glimmer mist on top and let it dry to have additional sparkle on the card.

For the sentiment I used a scripty sentiment  from Mama Elephant and heat embossed it in gold onto the the rainbow background. After that I adhered the background to a White cardbase.

The cute critter  as well as the balloon and cake on this card is from the Elephant of surprises Stamp set. I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo black on shimmery white cardstock and watercolored them afterwards. For the elephant I picked a light grey color and added accents with my white gel pen. I´m always surprised how much of a difference a few little white lines can make. I The balloon was colored in a sugarplum color and I made a tuiny slit on top of the elephants arn so he could hold the baloon properly. After coloring I diecut the images using the coordinating dies.  I also popped up the baloon with the foam dots before adhering the complete elephant.

The very glittery cake has a blackberry icing and a chocolate base. i added additional glimmer by going over the icing with my sakura stardust pen in clear. I just love that sparkle.

For the sentiment I took a scrap piece of blackberry bliss cardstock and embossed the birthdaysentiment from Mama elephant on it in white. I then cut the little banner ending with my scissors and popped the sentiment up with foam tape to give it a bit more dimention.

Last but not least I added some Nuvo Drops in gold and white all over the card for more dimention and addition extra sparkle.

What do you think? Do you love rainbows, just as much as I do?

Thank you for stopping by and Happy crafting everyone!!!!

Maria 🙂
