Pasta La Vista Shadow Box Party

Hey Heffy Doodlers!  It’s Amanda back with another fun Mix and Match card!  If you missed my last post, you can see it here!
For this week’s post, I am making a shadow box card filled to the brim with some partying pastas!

This shadow box card is so fun to make!

First, I’m starting with the Big Shadow Box Die.  I am cutting 2 of the main die, which will create the box frame.  For the front panel, I’m also cutting out a rectangle with the die that comes with the Set.  For my front panel, I’m going to blend Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide.  For the back panel that will be showing inside the box, I’m using Vintage Photo.  For the back panel that will be seen from the side and back, I’m using the Blueprint Sketch again.  I want the box to be blue all around and brown on the inside.

Next, I’m taking one of the small dies from the Stitched Rounded Metric Dies to create little cutouts for the side of my box.

I’m ready to start stamping out my Pasta La Vista images!  I’m coloring them with Copic markers.

I’m going through all of my other stamp sets and picking out anything that’s birthday party related and stamping those images.  I’ve grabbed the Otter Side, Sealy Friends, A Little Shellfish, Elephant of Surprise, and Quill You Be Mine stamp sets.

Now, we’re ready to start assembling!  I’m gluing my little accessories to my pastas and then gluing them to tiny strips of acetate.

For my sentiments, I’m using the Whatcha Sayin’ and Wavy Banner Sentiments stamp sets.

Once I’ve got everything adhered, the card is complete!  I love that these cards can be folded down to fit inside an A2 envelope!

Thank you so much for stopping by the Heffy Doodle blog today!  I hope you’ve enjoyed my post!

Until next time….. Xx, Amanda!
