Have your-Elf a very Merry Christmas

Hello everyone,

I´m Maria from  My Craftway to Happiness and I´m one of the lucky ladies that made it into Lesley´s amazing Design Team. I´m beyond honored that I´m in it with all the super talented ladies.

Today I´m sharing another one of my very first Heffy Doodle Christmas cards. I just love the Elfish Antics stampset and the Elfish christmas words are so perfect to coordinate with them too.

For this card I started with a thick whisper white cardbase. I then stamped the cute stocking and present from the Elfish Antics randomly all over the cardbase using Memento Tuxedo Black ink . I then used my Stampin Blends alcohol markers in Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler to color the stockings and the presents. And this card wouldn´t be mine if I wouldn´t add some white highlights using my Gelly Roll gel pen. These small little white lines make such a big difference.

I picked the Boy elf as the focal image of my card and I stamped and colored him the same way like I colored the background. I gave him blond hair and a old olive green suite and red slippers and belt. I love just how happy and jolly he looks. I dicut the little elf using the coordinating dies. On his little hat I placed a little star that I punched from gold foil to make him an extra special elf.

I popped him up using foam dots and layered  him on a stitched white circle that I diecut and layered a golden foil snowflake behind the circle. His eyes got a special shine by using a black glaze pen from Sakura.

For the sentiment I picked some words from the Elfish Christmas greeting stampset. I picked : Have Yourself a very merry Christmas. I decided to stamp it in 2 colors to highlight the Elf in yourself.  I colored the sentiment with my markers and colored the elf green and the rest of the sentiment in red, as the elf has the green suit ( I love little details).  I punched the sentiment with a labelpunch and sponged the edges of it in red. After it was dry I punched a label out of gold foil and then cut it in half horizontaly. Using foam dots I layered the two golden halfs behind the sentiment label and adhered it to the base.

To finish off the card and to add some additional bling I punched a few tiny stars and glued them all over the card. Christmas without a little bling is not christmas for me. How about you?

This cute card was mailed to the amazing owner and creative mastermind behind Heffy Doodly, miss Lesley herself.

Have you all your christmas cards made and sent yet?

Have a wonderful and creative week everybody 🙂
