Have an elephantastic Birthday!!!!

Hello everyone and thank you for stopping by!!!

I´m Maria from  My Craftway to Happiness and I´m one of the lucky ladies that made it into Lesley´s amazing Design Team.

Today’s card, that I want to share with you is a birthday card using the adorable little elephant from the Elephant of Surprise stampset. I just love this little elephant so much and all the excitement he shows. It just makes me smile.

To start the card I took a white notecard and added a little stiched frame-diecut that I watercolored with some yellow ink.  I then picked some Designer paper for each of the windows and tried to find paper in colors that I wanted to use on my stamped images.

I stamped the super cute elephant in Memento tuxedo black on shimmery white cardstock and colored him using grey and pink watercolors. After he was dry I added some little white details using a white gel pen. I like to give them these details as I think they give the little characters that special something. I then diecut him using the coordinating dies from the Elephant of surprise dieset.  To make him even more special I stamped and diecut a little crown from the Ad-roar-able Lions stamp and die set and colored it with a golden gel pen. Isn´t it looking so happy?

For the window in the right top corner I chose the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Happy Snappy Crocs stamp set as it fit perfectly into this little window, don´t you think? I just love the font of the Heffy doodle sentiments.

For the last window I picked everything you need for a nice birthday party: a cake, some balloons and a little present.

The balloon and the cake are from the Elephant of surprise stamp and die sets and I colored it with watercolors in chocolate chip brown, teal and flamingo. I loved how the combination of these three colors turned out.  The little present came from the Happy Snappy Crocs stamp set and coordinating dies.

As last step I added some golden sequins all over the card. You can´t get wrong with a littel bling, right? Especially on a birthdaycard!!!!

So here you have it. My little elephantastic birthday card. I hope this card inspired you to make a birthdaycard as well!! You can never have enough lol

Have a wonderful day everyone and happy crafting!!!!

Maria 🙂
