Celebration! With Guest Designer Meg

Hi again Heffy Doodlers! It’s Meg here from Twelve Inky Pawprints! I’m excited to be back with you today, sharing another design made with some cutie-pie Heffy Doodle products!

I don’t know about you, but I don’t often design wedding-specific cards. The charming Happily Ever Crafter Clear Stamps is so versatile, and you guessed it…easy to use to create a wedding card.

The supplies I’ve used for today’s project are: Happily Ever Crafter Clear Stamps, Carnival Star Backdrop Die, and the Cityscape Stencil. I chose to fussy cut my images, but really wish I had used the Happily Ever Crafter Dies, especially for the hearts and groom’s top hat!

This is an easy project to complete in stages. And similar to my blog post HERE, I selected a rainbow-color palette for my design. You can never go wrong with that colorful combination! I chose my star color to be yellow, and it was easy to create even a “neutral” look to the bride’s dress, carriage, and castle with this star color.

First, I die cut the Carnival Star Backdrop Die and layered it on top of a contrasting color. After gluing this combo to the card base, I used a cloud die from my stash, and used it as a place to host the sentiments and the sweet hearts. There are SO! many cute sentiments in this stamp set, and the variety in sizes allows you to position them in a variety of ways.

After adhering the cloud panel and adding some design paper for the ground, I colored up and used dimensional foam to adhere my characters. I made sure this design used lots of dimension to really make the characters “pop”. I also cut apart the castle into different towers. This helps create variety in where it can be placed! This next photo hopefully helps you see the dimension better:

I finally want to share about using the Cityscape Stencil in this design. It’s easy to use the windows part of the die to create a brick look! I stenciled the castle in pink, and the walkway in pink for this purpose. The picture below shows some more of that detail, and a close up of the happy couple:

I’ve had a lot of fun sharing projects with you this month! Many thanks to Heffy Doodle for this wonderful opportunity!

If my projects inspired you, I’d love to connect with you. You can find me on my blog, Twelve Inky Pawprints, and on Instagram.
