Hi crafty friends! Welcome back to the Heffy Doodle blog! It’s Cassie here, and I’m so happy to be back on the blog to share a simple but fun card using some great Heffy Doodle products. Today I’m sharing another way in which you can mix and match stamp sets to get the perfect card.
To start this card off I die cut the stitched rectangle from the Clover Frames Die set from some 110 lb card stock. I used my Distress Oxides to do some simple water colored background on it. I didn’t want to warp the paper too much, so I used very little water and smooshed the ink pads onto a slick surface to pick up the color. All I did to add the color to the paper was messily brush it on. I used so little water they didn’t even mix very much, but I really like the look it created! Once that was dry I flicked some gold paint over top and let it dry completely.
My next step was to heat emboss the sentiment onto the card. I grabbed the “smile” from Happy Snappy Crocs and the “you’re” from Geology Rocks. I paired that with the “ad-roar-able” from Ad-roar-able Lions to finish my sentiment. These fonts are all the same which makes it so easy to get really creative with your sentiments! I stamped them in VersaMark ink and heat embossed gold embossing powder over top.
To finish the card I added a lion that I stamped and colored from Ad-roar-able Lions as well as the camera from Happy Snappy Crocs. I adhered this to a card base and my card for today was finished!
I hope you enjoyed the card for today! I know I had fun making it 🙂 Thanks so much for stopping by, and I’ll see you again soon with another card!
