Wiggly Pup Interactive Card

Hello friends! Megan here and I am so thrilled to be back on the Heffy Doodle Blog to share another interactive card with you! I know that interactive cards can be intimidating. With that in mind, I wanted to create a super simple and easy interactive design to share with you.

Recently, a new puppy has joined our extended family and he was the inspiration for this card. (He can be such a little stinker!) He routinely gets into mischief but is truly a sweetie at heart.

To begin this project, I chose images from Hot Diggity Dog, Who Let the Dogs Out, and You Go, Gull Stamp Sets and stamped them onto White Cardstock using alcohol friendly ink. I colored them using Copic Markers and cut them out using the coordinating dies.

For the scene building elements, I die cut two panels from White Cardstock using the largest rectangle from the Imperial Stitched Rectangles Die Set. I then used the Stitched Slopey Joes Border Dies to die cut the foreground. I wanted to maintain a white border on the whole scene so I masked the edges on all of the panels using Memo Tape before ink blending them with die ink. To achieve a gradient blend, I used a light touch with blending brushes. This adds to the illusion of depth in the scene. For the sky, I used the Cloudy Skies Stencil to create the puffy clouds up top for more texture and interest.

I then adhered the images using liquid glue, glue dots, and foam tape. For the pup, I used a mini action wobbler. This is a super simple way to make your card interactive and adds such a fun element to play with! Plus, they flatten out for easy mailing. Double win! Thank you so much for stopping by the Heffy Doodle Blog today! I hope that you will give this idea a try and hope that you have a great day!
