Welcome, Fur Baby!

Hello crafty friends! It’s Lidya here and I’m so happy to share another card with you in my Let’s Mix It Up series. Welcoming a new fur baby into the family is always an exciting experience and I have the perfect card for it! 

To start, I stamped the images from the Yappy Happy Mail, Hot Diggity Dog, Who Let The Dogs Out and Popping By stamp sets using the Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad. I colored them using Copic markers and fussy cut them out (coordinating dies available here).

Next, I took a white card stock and cut it using the largest rectangular die from the Scalloped Imperial Frames Dies. I only used the frame for the back panel, so for the front panel I took another white card stock and cut it approx. 5″ x 3 3/4″.

To create the background, I masked approx. 2 3/4″ from the bottom of white card stock using the Heffy Memo Tape and ink blended Distress Oxide Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean and Salvaged Patina. I then splattered it with gold watercolor paint and white acrylic paint. For the field scene, I ink blended Distress Oxide Mowed Lawn and Shabby Shutters. 

I stamped the sentiment from the Home Sweet Home stamp set on a white card stock and cut the sentiment  into fishtail banner. Finally, I adhered all the images and the sentiment using the Glubert craft glue and popped some up using the deep foam tape.
