Warm Hugs Holiday Card

Hello and welcome back to the Heffy Doodle blog! I’m Claudia (@mrsclocards) and for this week’s project I decided to make a holiday card using the Deer to Me stamp set paired with non conventional Christmas colors. I love to insert pinks and purples on my holiday cards, what about you?

First of all, I stamped the images from Deer to Me stamp set, the scarves from Llamazing Llamas and the bow from Quill You Be Mine using Memento Rich Cocoa ink and I colored them with Copic Markers: I used E30s for the deers, R80s and RV90s for the pinks and G20s for the “mistletoe”. I added details with a white gel pen then I die cut them using the coordinating dies.

I took a piece of Heffy Doodle white cardstock and ink blended it using Distress Oxide Victorian Velvet, Seedless Preserves and Black Soot and splattered it with white paint; I also cut out a hill using a die from the Slimline Scenery dies and ink blended it with Spun Sugar to give it just a touch of pink.
I made the white frame using the largest Scalloped Imperial Frames and trimmed the background to fit into it, then I attached the hills using glue.

For the sentiment I used the letters from the Rainbows Builder coordinating die to create the “warm” word and I used the Rascal Alphabetters dies to die cut “HUGS” out of glitter eva foam. At this point, I just had to put all the card elements in place using foam squares and finally added the frame over them.

I hope you liked my card and I wish you a warm and cozy holiday seasons filled with joy and crafty time!

Happy crafting.

Clo
