(Video) Selective Blending on Stencils with Channin Pelletier

Hello Heffy Doodlers!! It’s Channin here with a new card and video to share! In today’s video I demonstrate how to selectively ink blend over the Candy Store stencil to create a fun postal themed card! You can watch the video below or over on our YouTube channel.

To create this card, I first ink blended an A2 panel of white cardstock with red and blue ink over the Candy Store stencil. I used pieces of painters tape to mask off every other stripe and then ink blended with red ink. Once I had finished ink blending with red, I then removed the tape and the stencil and then cleaned them both with a baby wipe. Next, I repositioned the stencil over the panel, then placed the tape over the red stripes and then ink blended with blue ink. Once I had finished with blue, I then removed the tape and the stencil and then die cut the panel with the largest die from the Skinny Imperial Rectangles Frame Die set. Next, I die cut white craft foam with the same die and then adhered the cardstock frame onto its craft foam counterpart.

I then stamped several images from the Yappy Happy Mail Stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black. Next, I copic colored the images and then die cut them with the matching dies. I then die cut two banners using the Curved Banner Die out of white cardstock. Then I placed the negative into my MISTI to serve as a jig and then popped the banners inside the openings. I then positioned sentiments from the Roundabout Sentiment Stamp Set onto the banners and then stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black.

Next, I adhered the dimensional striped frame onto an A2 top-folding card base and then the rest of the striped panel inside. Next, I adhered a circle I die cut using the Stitched Circles Die out of white cardstock onto the card front. I then adhered the copic colored images onto the circle with foam squares. Lastly, I folded the banners along their score lines and then adhered them onto the card front with tiny foam squares.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and video!! Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
