Video: Rainy Day Scene in a Shadow Box
Hello Friends! Happy Sunday! It’s Lauren and I have a new video to share with you today on the Heffy Doodle YouTube Channel. This month, I am sharing an interactive card with the Big Shadow Box Dies! I just love using this die set to create cute scenes with lots of dimension.
Before the video starts, I stamped my Quack Me Up images in an alcohol marker friendly ink onto Heffy Doodle’s Alcohol Marker Friendly Cardstock and colored my images in with Ohuhu Art Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out on my Mini Die Cutting Machine. I also die cut all of the pieces I need from the Big Shadow Box Dies in different colors of cardstock: Simply Teal-icious, Greenbean and Grape Soda.
Follow along with today’s video to see how I added some stencil paste with the Rain on My Parade Stencil, assembled the Big Shadow Box and added in my cute, colored images. I also added some yellow with my Summer Holiday Enamel Dots. I think the scene is just so cute and the sentiment embossed on the back makes it a great congratulations card. If interactive cards are not your favorite, you can still use this card for inspiration by creating a scene on the front of the card rather than inside of the Big Shadow Box Dies.
