Video: Creating An Ink Blended Ombré Effect with Heffy Doodle Cogs & Code Stencil

Hi, friends! I’m Laura Sterckx from Making Cards Is Fun and I’m super excited to share my first card and video tutorial as a Heffy Doodle Design Team Member. In today’s video I’m going to show you how to create an ink blended ombré effect with Heffy Doodle’s Cogs & Code Stencil and their Bots of Love Stamp Set.

First, I die cut a rectangle using the Imperial Stitched Rectangles Die Cut Set. Then, I used Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink Pads to create an ombré effect. I like to switch back and forth between the colors to create a smooth gradient. After applying the colors, I went in with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and used the Cogs & Code Stencil to create a fun pattern.

The Bots of Love Stamp Set is so adorable! I love those cute robots and the little details like the heart and flower are adorable and make it easy to customize your cards. I stamped and colored the two robots, heart and flower with Copic Sketch Markers.

For my sentiment banner, I heat embossed a greeting from the Bots of Love Stamp Set. I used the v-shaped die cuts from the More Strips of Ease Die Cut Set to create a fishtail banner. Finally, I used a Crafter’s Companion Sparkle Pen and Tonic Nuvo Crystal Glaze to add shimmer and shine to the card.

That’s it for now! Thank you so much for stopping bye. I’ll see you soon! Xo
