Video: Creating a Fall Scene Card

There is definitely a crispness in the air, and I couldn’t be happier.  Hey there it’s Cassie Trask, back with another video tutorial to share with you all over on the Heffy Doodle YouTube Channel.  Today I made a fun Fall scene card using some non traditional colors, and I’m so happy with how it turned out.  I started out by stamping and coloring up a bunch of images from the Deer to Me stamp set.  Next I brought in the Grassy Lass Border dies and cut up some celery green cardstock from my stash and then die cut that using the Stitched Slimline Trio dies.  Then comes the scene building!

Of course, you can’t neglect the inside of your beautiful work of art, so save a few of those images for the inside ;). I embellished both the outside and inside using some leaves that die cut using the Tremendous Peekaboo Tree Dies, and then naturally made a matching envelope with the Slimline Envelope #10 die.

Building scenes is always so much fun, but I love the challenge of using non traditional colors for a piece.  You should challenge yourself to do the same!  If you’d like to see exactly how I made this sweet little scene, be sure to head on over to the Heffy Doodle YouTube Channel to catch the full video.

Thanks for stopping by!
