Video: A Hootiful Nighttime Scene

Hi there Heffy Doodlers!  It’s Cassie here, and I am so super pumped to be sharing my first ever blog post and video with you all for Heffy Doodle!  For my first video and post, I decided to make a Fall nighttime scene using the ever adorable Hootiful Stamp and matching Hootiful Die.

I started out by doing some ink blending using Distress Oxide inks onto some watercolor paper.   I worked my way up from the bottom going lightest to darkest with my first color Old Paper.  My next colors were Shabby Shutters, then Peacock Feathers, then Chipped Sapphire, and finally Black Soot.  After I was done with my panel, I used some Rusty Hinge and inked up a small scrap of the same watercolor paper.  I used this panel to die cut my grass using the Grassy Lass Border Dies, and then I adhered those to the my ink blended panel using some liquid glue.

I stamped out all of my owl images from the Hootiful Stamp onto some alcohol marker friendly cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  Once they were all stamped, I colored them with Copic Markers and then used the matching Hootiful Dies to cut them out.  Next I stamped my sentiment onto some Oreo Crunch Cardstock using Versamark Ink and then covered that with some fine detail white embossing powder.  I die cut my sentiment with the Strips of Ease Die.  I used foam tape to adhere my images and sentiments to the front of the card and adhered a couple of those cuties to the inside as well.  To finish off my card I added some Nuvo Glitter Drops in the color Night Sky.

It’s as easy as that!  I hope you enjoyed my first post and that you’ll head over to check out the video HERE, because I would love to know what you think. Thanks for stopping by!
