Hi Heffydoodlers! Ali joining you today to share a cute Christmas card – if you like sending cards for the holiday season, I hope this inspires you to get those last few made and sent so they arrive in time! Today’s card is another to demonstrate how to get more from your stamp sets by modifying images easily. I have used two of the bears from the Bearly Big Heart Set (HDS / SSS / ATC) and modified the one holding the heart so that he is holding a present instead.
I began the card by stamping the background piece with a tree branch from Sunny Studios Holiday Style Set (SSS) using Altenew inks (Forest Glades & Forest Leaf). I then stamped out the bear holding the heart and the standing bear from Beary Big Heart (HDS / SSS / ATC). I also stamped the present from the Elfish Antics Set (HDS / SSS / ATC). I fussy cut all images, carefully cutting the heart away from the bear. I then coloured the bears using copic markers (E50, E53, E55) and added detail with a white gel pen. I coloured the present with red Copics, added gold detail with a gold gel pen and then used Glossy accents on the present bow and bears’ noses.
I tucked the present into the bear’s arm and popped them up onto the background piece with 3D foam. I then used the sentiment “You have a beary big heart” from the set and masked the words to just stamp “have a beary” and stamped the “Merry Christmas” sentiment from Elfing Christmas Words Set (HDS / SSS / ATC) – all stamped in versamark ink (SSS) and gold embossed on black card. I trimmed the sentiment and attached to the bottom of the card.
Love these little bears! Happy Holiday season to all and Happy Heffydoodling!
