Valentine’s Day Shaker Card
A shaker card is a fun and easy technique for card-makers of all levels to create interactive cards. Here is an example of a Valentine’s Day shaker card using our Dino Days Stamp and coordinating die set. I hope you’ll give it a go!
Hello Heffy Doodlers! Today I’d like to share with you some new ways to use a bunch of Heffy Doodle products you probably already have in your stash.
To recreate this Valentine’s Day shaker card, you’ll need:
- Metric Stitched Rectangle Dies (A2 size ones would work too!)
- Stitched Strips of Ease Dies
- Dino Time Stamps
- Dino Time Coordinating Dies
- A die-cutting machine of your choice, some ink (I used Memento Tuxedo Black), some pattern paper for your background, your favourite colouring medium (I used Copic markers today), some sequins or beads for your shaker, as well as some double sided foam adhesive and a bit of acetate.
If you’ve never created a shaker card, allow me to redirect you to an awesome video tutorial by the fabulous Korin Wiskman from our Design Team. The principle is the same, except she used our Clover Frames Die Set to create her window and I used my Stitched Rectangle Dies. Not only will you learn how to create a shaker, but you’re guaranteed a good laugh with Kori!
And that’s it from me for today. If you got this far, thanks for spending time with me. And if you decide to create a shaker using your Heffy Doodle goodies, make sure to tag me (IG @DenniceWatts) and #heffydoodle on social media so we can also enjoy your beautiful creations. Until next time!
