To A Deer Friend
Happy Friday Darlings! It’s Jo Laverty here with a heartfelt Heffy Doodle creation. Today I want to share with you a card I made using the adorable ‘Deer To Me‘ stamp set and some beautiful heart filled dies.

Background
First, take a pink cardstock and a rectangle die, and run both through a die cut machine. My pink cardstock was taken from Heffy Doodle’s ‘Multi Pack 8.5″ x 11″ Cardstock‘ pack. Then, using a white textured cardstock and the ‘Quilted Heart‘ background die, run both through a die cut machine. Next, adhere the the white layer to the pink layer with some glue. Tip: Sandwich the background between some heavy books and leave for a few hours to make sure the layers fully adhere together.
Heart Shaped Layer
Taking some white cardstock and Heffy Doodles ‘Stitched Hearts‘ die set, I took the third largest heart and ran both through a die cut machine together. Next, ink blend the following Distress Oxide colours from top to bottom: Dusty Concord and Victorian Velvet. Add a touch of sparkly by splattering gold ink over the top. I used Nuvo’s Sparkle Spray in Gold.
Images
Using Heffy Doodles ‘Alcohol Friendly Marker Cardstock‘, I stamped and die cut a range of cute images from the ‘Deer To Me‘ stamp set. I used Ohuhu alcohol markers to color in the images and used a white Gelly Roll pen to add in some highlights.
Sentiments
Using a bright pink cardstock from Heffy Doodles ‘Multi Pack 8.5″ x 11″ Cardstock‘ pack, I heat embossed a sentiment from the ‘Deer To Me‘ stamp set, using WOW! Embossing’s ‘Opaque Bright White’ powder. I then die cut the sentiment and added some thick foam tape to the back. For the ‘Hello’ letters, I used the ‘Stitched Alphabetters‘ dies and the ‘Spring Breeze‘ patterned paper pad. I adhered the die cuts to some foam die cuts of the same letters.
Final Touches
Add images to your heart layer using blue and some thin foam tape for the critters. The adhere the heart layer to the background layer using foam tape. Adhere the ‘To A Deer Friend’ sentiment to the top and the ‘Hello’ letters to the bottom. Finish off the card with some sequins. I took mine from the ‘Sugar Plum‘ sparkle mix.
