Surfing by to say hi!!

Hello everyone, I´m Maria from  My Craftway to Happiness. As it´s freezing outside here in Germany these days I decided to show you a summery card to get warm thoughts.

For this card I used a whisper white card based and layered a diecutted panel of a blue watercolor wash paper on top for the sky background of my little surfer croc.

On the bottom I diecute some waves using a Lawn Fawn Pop up die set and added more little waves suing their intricute wave dies.  After all the diecuting was done I took my blending tool and some salty ocean distess ink and gave the waves a more water coloring. I adhered the background wave first on top of the background and stamped some little drops in blue here and there using the droplets from the Elelphant of surprise stamp set. Afterwards I colored them in and added a layer of glossy accents to make them look even more realistic.

After it was dry I added the front panel using foam pads and i left the top of the wave free to add my surfer and the surfboard afterwards.

For the main image I picked this cute croc from the Happy Snappy Crocs. I stamped him on Shimmery white cardstock and colored him using watercolors. I also added some white details using a chalk marker.  After he was dry I diecut him using the coordinating dies.

For his cool surfboard I used an old retired feather stamp and die set and cut and stamped it in lemon lime twist, before adhering my aresome little croc on it. I popped the croc up on foam dots to give him a bit more dimention.

For the sentiment I diecut a speechbubble and marked the lines of it with a black marker. The sentiment  “Wishing you a Happy Day!” is made using the Happy Snappy Crocs stampset. You have a lot of big and small words to pick from to make your customized sentiment, which I absolutely love.

I adhered the speech bubble on top of the croc´s mouth right on top of the card.

As a finishing touch I added some small blue sequins all over the card.

What do you think? Doesn´t this card make you feel the warm sun and let you forget the freezing cold winter weather?

Have a wonderful and creative day

Maria 🙂
