Sparkles and Rainbows!

Hi folks,

Kavya here from @handmadebykavya with another card! I love trying out different color combos so I decided to push myself to try something new – a green colored sky! I know it sounds crazy but I absolutely love how this turned out 🙂

For the background, I started off by ink blending Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, Pine Needles, Evergreen Bough, Bundled Sage and a bit of Tea Dye at the bottom. I used a generic cloudy sky die to make some warm clouds at the bottom but HD’s Cloudy Skies stencil is just perfect too! Then, I splattered some water and white paint to add some ‘sparkles’ in the background.

Then, I stamped and colored a bunch of images from Fluffy Puffy Unicorns and diamonds from Superstar stamp sets and adhered on top of the background using foam tape. As usual, I added extra details and sparkles using a white gel pen to accentuate the adorable critters. Finally, I stamped a sentiment from the Fluffy Puffy using green dye ink to finish off the card 🙂
