Sending Love – February 2023 Heffy Doodlers Challenge

Hey crafty friends, it’s Amanda Stevens again, here to announce the winner of the January challenge and issue a new one for February! Thank you to everyone who entered the Tone on Tone Challenge last month. There were so many fantastic cards! You can see all of the entries over in the Heffy Doodlers group on Facebook. You can also share your projects and meet new crafty friends. I try to share Lesley’s weekly videos there too when she goes live.

I know you can’t wait to see who won, so please help me congratulate Debbie Northrup-Frank! She mixed images from Sealy Friends and You Go, Gull to create the scene on this adorable card. I love the way she colored the seals dark blue to keep the tone on tone theme going.

Congratulations Debbie! Beautiful card!

To choose the winner, all entries (except those by Lesley and the current design team) were assigned a number, in order of posting. We used random.org to choose the winning number.

As we move into February, many of us will be SENDING LOVE by creating valentines. Of course, not all love notes are valentines. We often send our love in birthday and thinking of you cards. And not all valentines are pink and red. This month, show us how you send your love, using Heffy Doodle products (mostly) and enter to win a £35 gift card! The challenge starts now in the Heffy Doodlers Facebook Group, and runs through March 5, 2023. Want to see what I created for the challenge?

I’m SENDING LOVE to a crafty friend. Several cute little Bed Head critters peek around the Jumbo Sentiment and one more holds a Wavy Banner near the bottom. I added Woodgrain texture to the kraft background and layered it onto a larger white card base, to match the jumbo white shadow and border of the critters. Notice how all of the sentiments and critters are touching? That creates one large focal point to attract the eye. If they were separated, it would likely feel cluttered. A few clear sequins and gems from the Hocus Pocus Sparkle Mix finish my card.

Here are the Heffy Doodle products I used:
Woodgrain Texture Background Die
Warm Hugs Jumbo Sentiment Dies
Bed Heads Stamps and Coordinating Dies
Wavy Banner Sentiments and Coordinating Dies
Hocus Pocus Sparkle Mix

Inspired to play along? Pull out your Heffy Doodle stamps and create a card of your own using the SENDING LOVE theme! To enter, go to the Heffy Doodlers Facebook Group and post a picture of your project in the February 2023 Challenge album (it will be pinned to the top). Enter as many cards as you like. The winner will be randomly chosen from all entries posted prior to Midnight (UT) on March 5, 2023. You are not limited to cards, feel free to post tags, scrapbook pages, home decor projects, etc. Just be sure the bulk of the stamps and dies used are from Heffy Doodle and it fits the SENDING LOVE theme. Good luck my friend!

Questions, just ask. Need some more inspiration to get you started? Follow Heffy Doodle on Pinterest! You can find boards with themes and specific stamp sets. Got an idea, but need some new Heffy Doodle goodies? Head on over to the shop and treat yourself!

Remember, you enter the challenge in the Facebook group, not here. Oh, and let’s keep it PG please 😉 I’ll be back on March 7th to announce the winner and the next challenge. Until then, I’ll see you on Facebook…

The Heffy Doodlers Challenge is not sponsored by, nor affiliated with Facebook. To be eligible to win, you must be at least 18 years old, and agree to allow Heffy Doodle permission to use your submitted photos for promotional purposes.

Yay! Thank you so much! It is my first time entering into the challenge. Do I need to email for prize?
