Purrfect Valentine

Hi friends! It’s Ashley with a new scene card for you today featuring one of my all time favorite Heffy Doodle sets, Purrfect Day! I thought the “have a purrfect day” sentiment would be just, well, purrfect for a friendly Valentine’s Day card!

I started by using the largest Imperial Stitched Rectangle to cut a piece of Heffy Doodle White cardstock. This is seriously the whitest paper I have ever used! I then die cut my stitched rectangle with the Quilted Hearts die. This gave me a card background with both the quilted stitch and a stitched border. I added the piece to a light pink card base, making the heart die cuts stand out. This part of the card turned into my wall for an indoor scene. To make the floor, I again used the largest Imperial Stitched Rectangle, but on kraft cardstock. I trimmed it down, then used my bone folder to score lines to look like floorboards. If you wanted, you could lightly ink blend over this piece to make the score lines stand out more, but I was going for a more subtle effect.

I stamped the images from Purrfect Day onto Alcohol Marker Friendly cardstock. Can you tell how perfectly the whites of these two papers match?! I colored the images with Copics, then cut the images out with the matching dies. I added them to my card front, popping a few kitties up with foam tape for dimension. I used one of the hearts in the Mini Essentials die set with Bubblegum Blush cardstock and placed it in one kitty’s paws. For the sentiment, I die cut the Friend word die three times from the same light pink cardstock I used for my base. I glued them together and added the dimensional word to my card. I stamped the rest of the sentiment from Purrfect Day onto the bottom of the card with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat set.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
