Personalize your sentiments to fit your theme!

Hey Crafty Friends, it’s Jasmin here from Jasmin Crafty Makes. Today’s project we are celebrating anniversaries. Do you have someone special in your life? I’m sharing how to personalize the jumbo sentiments to fit around your theme. This card was created for my Husband recently when we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary.

Let’s jump right in with our background. Die cut from Grape Soda card stock using the Deckled Paper Hugs a panel for your stencil. Lay on the Love is Everywhere stencil, I’m using the 7×7″ Stay-tion to keep the stencil in place for ink blending. If you’re like me maybe your blending brushes are super inky, for this card I picked out 2 brushes from my stash that have a purple and blue tone. This eliminated the agony of choosing!

Next, we need some images, I’ve stamped the sweet Raccoons from the Camping Critters stamp set on Alcohol Marker Friendly Card. My images have been colored with Copic Markers and cut using the coordinating dies running them through the Heffy Doodle Mini Die Cutting Machine.

Sometimes you might not have quite the right sentiment you want to use. Why not personalize them to fit your needs? I’ve taken the It’s Your Day Jumbo word die cut from card stock to match my ink-blended panel. Taking some scissors I snipped away the ‘Y’ to create a sentiment that reads ‘It’s Our Day’ instead.

Of course, you don’t have to use the shadow part of the die if you are personalizing, however I have decided to include it to create a grounding point for the images. For our additional sentiment, I wanted to use the new Looks Who’s Talking Dies. As there isn’t one quite the right size for the sentiment I chose I have partially die-cut it again to give an even rounded look on both sides. Check out the image below! Just be sure you only run the plates through your machine just as it cuts that edge and then reverse them back again for a partial die cut!

Back your stenciled panel onto a card base, size 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″. Attach your pieces using adhesive glue, I’ve used the adorable Glubert.

Finish up with Blueberry Jam Sparkle Mix. I like to add embellishments in odd numbers starting with a minimum of 3, then adding 2 more at a time until you are happy with the look. Not sure how to place embellishments? I sometimes hold them slightly above the card and just drop them down, where they land is where they get stuck!

Thanks for stopping by today’s celebration, I will be back soon with more inspiration!
