Perfect Combos – Magical holidays

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is blogseriesbanner_perfectcomboswithzsofia_72.jpg Hello Everyone, Welcome to another edition of my Perfect Combos series. Christmas is so close and I am sure most of you are busy with wrapping presents and planning the menu. It may turn out that you need a tag or a little card still, and today’s design is perfect for both: quick and easy and looks cute. Let me show you. First I stamped and coloured one of the angels from My Little Angel. I went with purples this time but it would look pretty in any colour. I used the coordinating dies to cut her out. Then I created my card base: I die cut 3 stars with the largest Stitched Stars die: 2 from heavy weight white cardstock and one from a pretty patterned paper (Whimsy Stamps Blurry Flurries). On one of the stars I die cut a window with a Fancy Nancy Frames die. I adhered the patterned paper star under the one with the window and created a fold line half an inch from the top on the other white star. I added glue to that little flap and adhered it to the front panel. In this way I have my own star shaped card base. So easy and eye-catching. The sentiment is from Holiday Sentiment Duos, heat embossed in silver on a purple cardstock strip. Before adhering the sentiment and popping up the angel with thick 3D foam strip, I went over the edges of the star and the window cutline too with Stardust Stickles. It gives a festive look and takes this simple design to another level. I used the same glue on the glory too. A touch of clear shimmer on the wings finished it off. TIP: If you want to create a tag, just punch a hole on the top and use sparkling twine. You can also turn this design into a shaker card if you adhere the patterned paper star with foam strips. That would look awesome too. I hope you enjoyed today’s Perfect Combo and will check back later for more inspiration. If you like my cards, please make sure to follow me on Instagram where I share my happy creations! Thank you! And Merry Christmas! See you soon, Zsofi
