Perfect Combos – Gnome matter what

Hello Everyone,

It is Zsofi here, welcome to another edition of my Perfect Combos series. Now that we are all locked down and our social life is not like in normal times, it is important to let our friends know we care for them. And what is better than saying it with a cute card? Let’s dive in the details!

First I stamped the images from Gnome matter what and coloured them with my Copic markers. I used cheerful bright colours for their outfits. I used the coordinating dies to cut them all out.

I wanted to give my gnomes a cute little home and I was so happy that the Lawn Fawn Mushroom house is the perfect size for them! I cut all the elements from white and coloured cardstock scraps and assembled the house. The base of the house I distressed with Black Soot Distress Ink very gently to give it some shading. I adhered one of the gnomes behind the opening door, so it looks like he is waving to the others. So cute!

The background I kept very simple: I sponged Salty Ocean Distress ink through the Cloudy sky stencil creating the perfect Spring sky. I did it directly on a white A2 sized card base and arranged the scene. This is the part I enjoy the most, finding the right placement for the die cut images. I can play with it for an hour 🙂

The grass I cut with the Grassy Lass border die set from green cardstock and added a bit of shading to it with Mowed Lawn Distress ink with a blending tool. It gives it some depth, such an easy trick. The sentiment I white heat embossed on a thin strip of black cardstock and adhered above the house.

As a finishing touch I used glossy accents on the belts, flowers and butterflies. Isnt it a cheerful scene?

I hope you enjoyed today’s Perfect Combo and will check back later for more inspiration. If you like my cards, please make sure to follow me on Instagram where I share my happy creations! Thank you!

See you soon,

Zsofi
