Perfect Combos – Christmas Unicorns

Hello everyone,

It is Zsofi here, welcome to another edition of my Perfect Combos series. Today I brought you a super sweet holiday slimline idea.

The Fluffy Puffy unicorns are one of my favourite stamp sets and I really wanted to make a Christmas card with them. I found the perfect accessories for them in the Santa’s Village stamp set: Santa’s hat fit them so nicely. I stamped all the images and coloured them with Copic markers. I used the coordinatig dies to cut them out and just trimmed off the not necessary parts with my scissors.

For the background I die cut the scalloped rectangle from the Slimline Pull Tab die set from pink cardstock. I also cut a stitched rectangle using the Stitched Slimline Trio set from Bristol Smooth cardstock. I applied Blueprint Sketch and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks with a blending brush. I sprinkled it with water and added some Liquid Pixie Dust and white acrylic paint splatters too. When it was dry I die cut 3 Stitched Stars from the panel. I inlayed 3 yellow stars instead of the blue ones for a fun background.

I needed a snowbank so I cut a long one using a Breaking Waves border die from white glitter cardstock. To make it long enough I used the partial die cutting technique. While I was at die cutting I also cut the Merry and Christmas sentiments from red glitter cardstock.

I assembled the card on a white 3,5*8,5 inches card base. The unicorns I popped up with 3D foam squares. To make them even more festive I used Stickles on the Santa hats and the packages. I also added glossy accents to the horns and ribbons.

I hope you enjoyed today’s Perfect Combo and will check back later for more inspiration. If you like my cards, please make sure to follow me on Instagram where I share my happy creations! Thank you!

See you soon,

Zsofi
