Pasta recipe

Hi Heffy Doodle friends!

This is Sylvie from @kaliscards. So happy to be guest designing for Heffy Doodle and share this project with you.
You can find me Instagram, Facebook and my personal blog.

I love making scenes mixing and matching various stamp sets. My preferred technique is masking.
Today, I have a Pasta recipe for you! Looks like they are having fun in the kitchen!

To create this card, I stamped the various images, using the masking technique. I stamped first the front images, then masked the images to stamp the arms/legs and images at the back. I used tone on tone inks to get a no line effect. I mixed the images from the Pasta la Vista and Veggie patch sets. I used the arms and legs from Pasta la Vista onto the vegetables as well. The glasses worn by the Farfalle are actually from the Veggie patch set. How cool is it to mix and match the sets? Hope this will give you some ideas!

I also hand drew the cooking pot and masked it before stamping the background. For the background, I used a recipe stamp set from my stash but you could totally write the elements by hand. For the recipe title, I used one of the sentiments from Pasta la Vista. How fun is that sentiment?! No termination involved here (and we do not want to kill anyone with food, right?!), so let’s finish this recipe!

I then blended some Distress inks, Scattered straw and Vintage photo, around the edges to bring some color and give the card a vintage look.
I then unmasked everything and used my alcohol markers to bring the scene to life.

Hope the project inspires you. If you find masking intimidating, you could totally use the coordinating dies as well, for the Pasta la vista and Veggie patch sets.

If you are interested in watching the creation process, you can stop by my Instagram account where I’m sharing reels.
Thank you for stopping by and have a beautiful day!
