Party Like a Flock Star
Hello Heffy Doodlers! Jordy here with another fun and colourful card, perfect for these hot summer months. If you would like to watch how I put the card together, you can see it on YouTube here:
To make this card, I started with the Ripple Waves Stencil, which I stenciled onto a piece of white cardstock using some Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Ink.
Next, I took my Flock Star Stamp Set and coloured my chosen images, then cut these out with the coordinating dies and my Heffy Doodle Mini Die Cutting Machine. I also die cut the smaller pond piece from the Build A Pond die set to create my sandy island. I inked this up with some more Distress Oxide inks to get the sandy look.
I created my shaker frame by cutting the largest Scalloped Imperial Frame die from some white Heffy Doodle Cardstock and backing it with the Heffy Doodle Extra Thick Acetate. I surrounded the frame with Heffy Doodle 3mm deep double sided foam strips, which are the perfect height for shaker cards. I filled the well with the Tickled Pink Sequin mix, before sealing everything up with the ink blended panel I had already made.
I created my sentiment by stamping the words ‘Party like a’ from the sentiments included in the Flock Star stamp set. I completed the sentiment by die cutting the words ‘Flock Star’ from the Moxie Alphabet dies, which I coloured to match my flamingos.
All that was left to do, was to attach all of my elements onto the front of my shaker using some liquid glue. I then attached the whole panel onto a bright pink Razzleberry card base. And that was it – my fun and summery shaker card all complete.
