Mix and Match – You Go, Gull, Sealy Friends, and Otter Side!

Hello there, Heffy Doodlers!  I hope your Spring is off to a wonderful start!  It’s starting to feel very warm in Cincinnati and I couldn’t be happier!  These bright, sunny days make me want to create summer cards!

Today, I’m excited to share this Mix and Match card I made using stamps from the You Go, Gull Stamp Set, the Otter Side Stamp Set, and the Sealy Friends Stamp Set.

To create this card, I’m going to start with my background!  I’m going to grab my Worn Lipstick and Mustard Seed Distress Oxides and blend them onto my card base.  I always love the effect of the water spritzed on the Distress Oxides, so I’m going to go ahead and do that.  I’m also going to need some waves, so I’m going to cut down a few pieces of my Colored Cardstock to 4.25″ and then use the Breaking Waves Border Dies on each piece.  I will spritz a little bit of watered down white paint onto the waves, as well.

While that dries, I’m ready to start stamping!  I’ve got my You Go, Gull Stamp Set, the Otter Side Stamp Set, and the Sealy Friends Stamp Sets and am going to stamp my main images using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  Later on, I’ll stamp a few more smaller images to complete the card.

I’m ready to start coloring with my Copic markers!

After I’ve used the coordinating dies to cut my images out, I’m ready to start laying things out.  Before I adhere anything to my card base, I’m going to stamp my sentiments with black ink.

Now that I have my main elements completed, I’m ready to pick a few small images to fill in any spaces.  I’m going to stamp those out and color them with the same markers that I used earlier.

Finally, I’m ready to start assembling the card!  I’m using my Glubert Glue and some 3D foam squares to adhere the images to the front of my card.

Here are a few close-ups of the finished card!

Thank you so very much for stopping by the Heffy Doodle Blog today!  I’ll be back soon with another fun Mix and Match card to share with you!   Xoxo, Amanda
