Masquerade Moment with Tasha
Hey crafty people ! It’s Tasha here for Heffy Doodle, and today I’m sharing another cardmaking tutorial.
The topic today is using our new rectangular trio Masquerade stencil to get a quick but interesting background.
I’ve got a step by step tutorial to share here on the blog, and a quick process reel over on socials!
- Position your Masquerade stencil onto an a2 panel of Neenah 80lb cardstock, securing it on the edges with Heffy Memo Tape. To get that ombre blend, begin blending from the bottom with your lightest ink choice, taking the colour up the whole way. Now take your mid shade and blend this from the bottom up around 2/3s of the way. Next blend your darker ink choice from the bottom up around 1/3 letting it soften into the lighter colour. Go back over those crossover sections with each of your lighter inks. Peel back your stencil and set your panel aside to dry.
- Die cut the Thinking of You Jumbo sentiment from the cream colour of paper from Tinsel Town 6×6 pad. Stack this on top of 2 layers of white die cuts for extra dimension and adhere onto a vellum shadow Die cut. To get some extra fun & contrast, also die cut the sentiment from the red paper and fussy cut the hearts out, then adhere these on top of the cream hearts. Adhere to your ink blended panel.
- Die cut mini paw prints (Pretty PAWESOME Dies) from more of that cream paper and use the negative to adhere them onto your panel, keeping the right shape. Add several paw prints, coming up from beneath the sentiment and across the panel diagonally.
