Let’s Make a Tall Snow Globe Die Shaker Card!

Hello Heffy Doodlers and Happy April! Do you want to learn how to make a shaker card using the Tall Snow Globe Dies? Today, that’s exactly what we’re going to do! Keep scrolling to craft along with me!

We’re going to start by making our background and our front frame. Using the Tall Snow Globe Dies and your die cutting machine, cut out the largest arched die with white cardstock. That will be our background. To make the frame, space the 3 largest arched dies evenly apart and tape them down on a piece of white cardstock. Run them through your die cutting machine to get your frame piece!

To create my background scene, I’m going to stamp, color, and die cut the Lovely Landscape Stamps. I’m also going to cut and color the Starry Rainbow Die. I’m not attaching them to my background yet, though! I still need to ink blend that!

For the background, I’m ink blending Catherine Pooler’s Limoncello all over. Then, I’m ink blending Catching Rays through the Simple Sunburst Stencil.

Next, I’m stamping some cute fairies from the Absotoothly Awesome Stamps. I’ve colored them with Copic markers and die cut them out with the coordinating dies. I have propped those images up with 3D foam squares. For my shaker elements, I’ve mixed Strawberry Milk Sparkle Mix and Twiddler’s Nook Perfect Pineapple Confetti Stars.

Once I have everything adhered into place and have added the shakers, I can add double sided tape behind the frame, attach a piece of acetate (cut down using the largest Tall Snowglobe Dies), and then add 3D Deep Foam Tape all around the frame. Then, we can attach the frame and it’s a shaker card!

The last step is to add a sentiment and bottom for our snow globe! Using the Tall Snow Globe Dies, I’ve cut out the bottom with black cardstock. Then, we can add our sentiment from the Everyday Sentiments Duos Stamp Set. I’ve stamped it with embossing glue ink pad, added white embossing powder to it, and then melted the powder using my heat tool. Finally, we can glue the bottom to the snow globe!

Well, that was fun!! This card is sure to brighten anyone’s day who needs a little pick-me-up! Thanks so much for stopping by the Heffy Doodle blog today! Have a great day! Xx, Amanda
