Jump for Joy with the Be Hoppy set!
Hello sweet friends!
I’m so happy to be on the blog today with a cute little scene featuring a few items of the new release. I’m so happy with how this card turned out. Let me tell you how it came together!
I started by die cutting a stitched rectangle out of Bristol Smooth cardstock. I placed over the Simple Sunburst stencil and stenciled some Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide on top. I removed the stencil, but went over the whole panel with the remaining ink on my blending brush. After that, I splattered on some diluted Saltwater Taffy.
I die cut another stitched rectangle out of Simply Teal-icious paper. Then I cut the stitched border. You can use the Slopey Joe dies for this. On the edges, I ink blend a little bit of Peacock Feathers Distress ink. I adhered this border onto my stenciled panel.
Now time to stamp the froggies from the new Be Hoppy stamp set! I stamped them on alcohol marker friendly cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink. Of course I used my Misti so I could stamp the images twice.
I colored them in with Copic Markers. You can find all the Copic Combos below:
- Frogs: BG18 – BG15 – BG13
- Aquatic Flower: R32 – R30
- Greenery: YG09 – YG06 – YG03
- Cattails: E57 – E55 – E53
- Paper Boat: BG000 – 0
I die cut all of the images with the coordinating dies and the lovely mini die cutting machine.
For my sentiment, I used the new Jump For Joy Jumbo Sentiment. I die cut it a few times out of the same Simply Teal-icious cardstock. For my shadow I used Oreo Crunch. I stacked my 5 die cuts on top of each other. My shadow was adhered offset a little bit. This makes the sentiment stand out more in my opinion.
Before adhering all my images, I started with the large sentiment. I used liquid glue for that. My froggies were popped up with foam squares. The rest of my images were put down with liquid glue as well.
For a finishing touch, I put a little sparkle on my sentiment with my sparkle pen. You don’t see it on the photos, but it’s such a nice little detail on the card.
I adhered my card panel onto a white card base and it was all done. I absolutely love how it turned out. The Jumbo sentiment and the cute new frogs. It’s just adorable. I love this release SO MUCH!
I hope you do too. I can’t wait to see what you create! Don’t forget to share it in our Heffy Doodlers Facebook Group!
Have a great weekend!
Love, Jarle x
