Jump for Joy!

Hello friends!

This is Nancy @creastudionancy. I’m so excited to be a guest designer for today’s Heffy Doodle Blog post! A small introduction: I live with my husband and toddler in the Netherlands and have loved to make cards since the end of 2018. I love bright colors like yellow and green, but I’m really in love with teal colors!

You can find me on my Personal Blog, Instagram and Facebook.

Let’s talk about how this card comes together.

For this opportunity today i wanted to use the cute and adorable Be Hoppy Stamps and creating a cute scenery at the pond. I started by stamping my images on alcohol friendly paper with some alcohol friendly black ink. When the ink was dry enough i colored them with alcohol markers. I like bright colors, so I used some vibrant yellow and green colors for the frogs’ bellies. Aren’t they the cutest?!

* I have a tip for die cutting: place the stamped images as varied as possible on your paper. This way you can cut out strips of stamped images and die cut as much as possible at the same time with the coordinating dies.

For the background i started with a white cardpanel which measures 4,25 x 5,5 inches. I used the Sky High Cloud Backdrop die for this. I put aside the remaining white clouds and started ink blending with distress oxides inks with some blending brushes. After i was done ink blending i splattered some white and blue paint over the whole background panel and set aside to dry.

And then it was time to create the pond. I used the Freshly Cut Grass dies to make 2 different types of grass. I used Kiwi Crush cardstock and ink blended the grass with green distress oxide ink. And 1 border die I used for the water of the pond. I created the water with Ice Blast cardstock and the Ripple Waves stencil and blue distress oxide. For the die cut sentiment i used the Jump for Joy Jumbo Sentiment die with white and black cardstock. And for the stamped sentiment i used a sentiment that is already in the Be Hoppy Stamp set and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

I adhered everything on the Sky High cloud Backdrop with liquid glue and foam squares. I am so in love with these cute frogs! I hope this card has made you excited to use the Be Hoppy stamp set soon!

Thank you so much for spending time with me and hopefully i see you next time!

Lots of Love,

X, Nancy
