It’s Your Day! Mix and Match with Amanda

Hey friends! It’s Amanda here and today I’m sharing this fun and cheery card with you! This card could be used for any special occasion!

To create this card, I’ve blended Catherine Pooler’s It’s a Girl, Do-Si-Do, and Buttercream inks on a piece of white cardstock trimmed to just a smidge smaller than A2 size. I want to leave a very small white border around my background! I have also spritzed the background with some water using my favorite spritz bottle.

Next, I’ve applied Deco Foil Transfer Gel DUO through the Twinkle Twinkle Stencil. This gel can be used to foil without using heat!

After waiting an hour or so for the gel to dry, it’s ready to be foiled! I’ve used the Sunrise Lake foil transfer, but any gold foil would work with these colors! I placed the foil (pretty side up) on top of the gel, and then ran it through my die cutting machine (using the normal sandwich for die cutting).

Next, I stamped my images from the Fluffy Puffy Unicorns and the Absotoothly Awesome stamp sets and then colored them in with OLO Markers (any alcohol markers will blend beautifully when you use the right paper!). I’ve also cut the It’s Your Day Jumbo Sentiment Die with black cardstock. I’ve added some white gel highlights to the stamped images and the sentiment.

Once I’ve die cut my images out, I’m ready to start assembling the card! I’ve used Glubert Glue to attach my background to my card base. Then, I’ve used 3D foam squares to attach my sentiment and stamped images. As a last step to bedazzle my card, I’ve added a few sequins from the Pink Fizz Sparkle Mix!

That’s all I have for today, friends! I hope you have enjoyed this blog post and it has been inspired you to make something fun today! Xx, Amanda
