Hi, everyone! It’s Cassie from Creatively Cass here, to share my very first blog post as a Heffy Doodle design team member! I’m super excited to share the card I made for today. Honestly, pizza is my favorite food, so when I saw the cute little pizza slice in the Unbearable Without You stamp set, I knew my first card had to feature it. I also wanted the cute little bear to be juggling the pizza–because why not?!-so I stamped out a bunch of pizza slices and the bear with his arms out.
I colored the bear and pizza in with my Copic markers and die cut them out with the coordinating Unbearable Without You dies. This made getting all those pizza slices cut out a dream! If you look closely you’ll also notice I cut some of the pieces so that it looked like someone had eaten some of them. Does anyone else have a friend who refuses to eat the crust? I love the crust so you’ll never see that happen with me! 🙂 I stamped out my sentiment, which is a mixture of Unbearable Without You and Happy Snappy Croc stamps, with VersaMark on black card stock and cut it down to little strips. I love that the sentiments can be mixed and matched between sets! It gives a lot of versatility to them.
To create the background for the bear, I die cut a rectangle with some faux stitching and ink blended my Distress Oxide over in the shade Antique Linen. Then I splattered some plain water, white paint and black paint over it for some interest and texture. Between each splatter I let it dry completely. I pooped the elements up with foam tape onto the rectangle, and added some white gel pen accents. I love white gel pen, and you’ll be seeing it used a lot by me! I attached the rectangle panel to a card base with fun foam behind it for dimension, and the final touch was some Glossy Accents on the bears nose, and black Nuvo drops scattered around.
That’s it for my first post here at Heffy Doodle! I hope you enjoyed the card! If pizza isn’t a favorite of yours, what food would you have the bear juggle? I think my next choice would be the hamburger. I hope you all have a lovely day, and I’ll see you again soon with another card!
