Hoppy Easter!

Hello Heffy Doodle friends! It’s Cassie here, and I’m back this week to share an Easter card that I made for this weekend. It was snowing here today, which makes it hard to imagine spring, but I’m looking forward to warmer temps, but this bright card will have to do for now!

To start this card I took a piece of A2 size 110 lb cardstock and used my cloud stencil to ink blend some big fluffy clouds in the sky. Once that was done I die cut the Easter die from the sky. I ink blended a small piece that would fit behind the die cut word a sunny yellow to make my shaker. I used two layers of foam tape to create the shaker chamber and added some yellow and white iridescent glitter to it, securing the yellow piece to the back. I forgot to stamp “hoppy” from Honey Bunny Boo before making my shaker, so I used my Misti stamping tool to make sure I got it stamped in the right place and with a crisp stamping. To add a ground to my scene I die cut a grassy border on some more 110 lb card stock and ink blended Lucky Clover and Twisted Citron ink over it.

I stamped out a bunch of the images from both Honey Bunny Boo and Eggcellent News and colored them in with my Copic markers. Then I die cut them with the coordinating dies and placed them in the scene. I made sure to tuck some of the pieces behind the grass for some fun.

To finish my sentiment, and to continue the yellow theme I had going, I stamped “to you and your family” on some yellow card stock and trimmed it down to fit below Easter. Then I added some white Nuvo drops in the sky for fun. Lately I can’t go without adding any Nuvo drops to my projects!

That is it for my card today! I hope you enjoyed it. Do you need a bright and cheery card to make you smile, or is it sunny where you are? I’m hoping the sun comes out today! I hope you all have a great rest of your day!
