Hoppy Birthday!

Hey Heffy Doodlers!

Happy Thursday and thanks for stopping by the blog today!

Last week I created a card that combined a few different stamp sets, and for today’s card, we’re doing the same thing!

I stamped some images from the Honey Bunny Boo and the Elephant of Surprise stamp sets on to white cardstock, using copic safe black ink. Then I colored them using my copic markers.

Wanna know a secret? I picked it up from a fellow card-maker!

I positioned all my images into my MISTI, stamped them down, colored them, and then re-stamped them in the black ink to further define the solid black lines. And sometimes while you’re coloring, you can easily get stray ink outside the lines, so re-stamping them in the same black ink real helps to make the images pop!

After I was done coloring all my images, I used the matching dies to cut out all the images and set them aside to work on the card panel.

I cut out a white cardstock panel and used Mermaid Lagoon and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide inks to create the sky and Twisted Citron, Bundled Sage, and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide inks to create the grass.

I glued my bunnies, carrots, and balloons on to the panel and then mounted that panel with white fun foam before gluing it down on a 4.25 x 5.5 inch card base.

I combined the “Birthday” sentiment from the Happy Snappy Crocs set and the “Hoppy” sentiment from the Honey Bunny Boo set to create the sentiment. I stamped it in black ink and then used a white gel pen to outline the sentiment, just to make it pop a bit!

I also used a clear shimmer pen to color over the top of all the images to make them sparkle and shine!

That finishes off the card for today, and thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs,

Kelly
