Hi, Sweetie

Hey Heffy Doodle friends! It’s Cassie here, and I’m sharing a cute and easy to make card showcasing some heat embossing and ink blending today! Let’s dive right in.

I started the card by stamping the cute ice cream cone from Treat Yo’ Self all over an A2 size card panel with VersaMark ink. I sprinkled gold embossing powder over the stamped images and heat embossed them with my heat tool. I’m just loving gold right now, so I was super happy with how they turned out 🙂 Next I grabbed my Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar, and Antiqued Linen Distress Oxides and ink blended over the card panel. I also smushed some of the ink on my work surface and used some water and a paint brush to splatter the colors, and some white paint, all over the images. I love this messy look!

Once the panel was dry I used a white gel pen and a pink Copic Marker and gave the cones some details. They all got some white high lights and rosy cheeks. Finally, I die cut out the letters for the phrase “hi, sweetie” from white paper using the Rascal Alphabetters dies. I love that you can use these without the stamp set and get a super cute, totally different look. It gives the  stamps and dies so much more versatility! I popped up the letters with foam tape and that was it for my card!

I hope you enjoyed the card for today! Are you working with any of the new release products? I’ve seen some of the most amazing projects made with the new goodies on social media. If you’re getting crafty with them be sure to tag Heffy Doodle so we can see all the awesome things you’re making! Thanks for stopping by, and I’ll see you again soon with another card!
