Hi! From the Two by Two Zoo with Guest Designer Jo

Happy Thursday Darlings! It’s Jo here from Have Faith in Cards and I am so happy to back guest designing for Heffy Doodle. For my first May post, I am using a fun mix of new, older, and retiring products (make sure to grab those quick before they are gone!). To find out how I created this desert inspired card, keep on reading.

Background: Taking Heffy Doodle’s White Cardstock and Rolling Hills Landscape Dies, I ran the two together through a die cut machine, then separated the sky and different hill layers, so that I could later adhere the segments onto the card using foam tape to create multiple dimensions. For the sky, I used the Cloudy Skies Stencil and Distress Oxides to create a desert sunset backdrop. For the hills, I used Distress Oxides in sandy colours and touch of red on the top, and splattered some gold drops over to create the dunes.

Images: For the images, I used the Two by Two Zoo Animals stamp and die set from the new release and stamped, cut, and coloured in the images using alcohol markers. To add some extra details, I used Gelly Roll pens in White and Clear Sparkle.

To Finish: I added the background elements using glue and foam tape to create various dimensions. I also did the same with the images. I then took a scrap piece of white cardstock and blended a light yellow colour and die cut some grass elements using the Rolling Hills Landscape Dies, and the word ‘Hi’ using the Rascal Alphabetters Dies (retiring product so be sure to grab it quick!). To add the finishing touch , I glued on some sparkles around the sentiment, but didn’t want to distract from the rest of the sky, so decided to keep that clean.

I hope you enjoy this card 🙂 It was really enjoyable to make! Don’t forget to tag @HeffyDoodle in all of your creations so that we can share the love.

Much love, Jo x
