Hello Honey Shaker Card

Hello Heffy Doodle friends! It’s Cassie back again with a card to share with you all πŸ™‚ Today I made a cute shaker card using some Heffy Doodle dies and stamps. I went with one of my fave color combos which features yellow and blue, and got to use some fun products along the way. Here’s a look at my card!

This was one of those cards that started out with a completely different design and morphed int the card you see here. I started by making the cute shaker by cutting two pieces of white 110 lb card stock and die cutting them both with the fun bubbly shape from Clover Frames die set. I added a piece of clear acetate that you can emboss on to each piece and embossed the ‘hello’ from Honey Bunny Boo on one. Like I mentioned, the design for this card changed quite a bit from start to finish, so had I known this was the way it was going to end up I would have only done one die cut piece with the acetate, but alas! Plans change πŸ™‚ I added a mix of yellow and clear sequins to the middle and sandwiched them together with some adhesive around the edges.

I die cut two of the Honey word dies from 110 lb paper and used my ink blender and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink to create an ombre look on one before gluing them together to be adhered below ‘hello.’ I took my card base and ink blended some Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide over the back, spritzing it with water to get some water spots. Once that was completely dry, I adhered the shaker in the center of the card.

I stamped out the bear from Beary Big Heart and the honey pot fromΒ  Unbearable Without You and colored them in with my Copic Markers. Then I die cut them using the coordinating dies and adhered them to the card. To finish it off I added a couple Nuvo Crystal Drops, and my card was done!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed the card I have for today. How often do you start a card with one design in mind, and finish with a completely different design? I can’t be the only one! πŸ™‚ I hope you all have a great rest of your day. I’ll see you again soon with another card!
