Heffy Doodlers November Facebook Challenge
Challenge accepted! Hey crafty friends, It’s Amanda Stevens again with a re-cap of October’s challenge and a new one for November. First off, I’d like to thank everyone who entered the Heffy Doodlers Fall Challenge last month. There were some truly inspired cards. We even shared a few hilarious live videos in the Facebook group of challenge cards coming together. Make sure you’ve joined the Heffy Doodlers group so you don’t miss out on any of the fun!
I know you can’t wait to see who won, so I won’t drag it out. Please help me congratulate Sarah Baker on her winning entry! Isn’t her card adorable? All entries (except those by Lesley and the current design team) were assigned a number, in order of posting. We used random.org to choose the winning number.
Are you ready for the next challenge? November’s theme is Thankful. Your can make a thank you, Thanksgiving, or even a punny card. (I really hope someone uses the Oceans of Love set and makes a tank full card!) Show us your version of thankful featuring Heffy Doodle products (mostly) and enter to win a £35 gift card! I’m in the US, so I decided to make a Thanksgiving card. I stamped a gourd from the Veggie Patch set, and masked it off so I could add feet and feathers from Wingman to create his fan. I decided he needed a wattle, so I used a drop from The Elephant of Surprise to create one. More feathers, embossed in gold, and painted with a hint of gold watercolor add interest to my woodgrain background. I added a glittery, foam-backed frame from Clover Frames and a sentiment in a die cut speech bubble. My favorite part was mounting the turkey with a mini action wobbler; look how cute he is in action…
Alright, are you feeling inspired? Break out those Heffy Doodle stamps and show us your version of Thankful! To enter, go to the Heffy Doodlers Facebook Group and post a picture of your project in the November Challenge album (it will be pinned to the top). Enter as many cards as you like. The winner will be randomly chosen from all entries posted prior to Midnight (UT) on November 30th, 2019. You are not limited to cards, feel free to post scrapbook pages, home decor projects, etc. Just be sure the bulk of the stamps and dies used are from Heffy Doodle, and that your project fits the Thankful theme.
