Happy Retirement!

Hey Crafty Friends, It’s Jasmin here from Jasmin Crafty Makes. Today I’m sharing a special celebratory card, this time to celebrate retirement! Celebrate the successes the person had during their time in their job or celebrate them!

I’ve started today by stamping images from the Koality Hugs Stamp Set, colored in Copic Markers, and running them through the Heffy Doodle Mini Die Cutting Machine using the coordinating dies.

I’m creating a fun shaker card using the Deckled Paper Hugs Dies and Fancy Nancy Frame Dies. Starting with a piece of white cardstock cut from the second-largest nesting die. Use the frame insert as per below to die cut into this panel which will create your shaker window.

Lay on the Ring a Rosies stencil which I have inked up with Twisted Citroen Distress Ink using the Mini Stay-tion to keep the stencil in place while blending.

Before you continue on the next step, I would recommend that you stamp your sentiment onto the front of the card directly. I rushed on ahead by accident, I show you later how I achieved stamping onto a card with foam tape if you forget as I did!! I have used the Special Day Sentiment Duo Stamp Set.

Continuing to create our shaker element die cut a piece of green and white dotty paper from Wildflowers Paper Pack using the largest deckled nesting die. Cut down a piece of Extra Thick Acetate large enough to cover your window adhered with double sided tape. Add Foam Tape all around the shaker window, ensuring no gaps. Add additional pieces on the lower part of the front panel so it’s nice and sturdy.

Fill your shaker window with Enchanted Moss Sparkle Mix. Remove backing tape from your foam tape, and adhere your green dotty paper over the top.

Attach all of this to a card base cut from Greenbean Cardstock. This should measure 11″ x 5.5″ scored at 4.25″.

As mentioned above I rushed ahead excited to create my shaker! I forgot to stamp the sentiment. As my card is now thicker due to the foam tape I have placed it into a stamping platform removing the foam sheet in the platform itself allowing for a better stamp impression first time!

Thank you for stopping by today, I really enjoyed creating this card for a family friend who is retiring and after many years in the NHS she deserves all those extra guilt free naps!
