Happy New Home

Hi, everybody! It’s Cassie here, and I’m back to share another card with you. Today’s card uses some cute products from the new release that I just love. Let’s jump in!

I started this card by using the Wildside Stencil. I had a piece of A2 size card stock and ink blended Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink all over the card front. Then I took the stencil and placed it over the cardstock and used Walnut Stain Distress Oxide ink to create the pattern. This worked well because I had chosen a lighter color to do as the base and a darker color to use for the stencilled portion making the pattern actually show up!

Next I stamped out a bunch of the images from the Prehistoric Pals stamp set and colored them in with my Copic markers. I also fussy cut them all out. Then I die cut one of the rectangles from the Imperial Stitched Rectangles die set for my scene’s background. I masked off one half of the rectangle and, with a light hand, ink blended more Walnut Stain Distress Oxide for the ground. Then, on the other side, I ink blended Antique Linen for the sky.

Once the ink was dry I stamped the sentiment from Everyday Sentiment Duos in VersaMark ink and heat embossed gold embossing powder over it. I did that first so that I made sure that when I arranged all my little stamped images that there would be enough room for everything. I adhered all the images with some glue and my card was complete! I hope you enjoyed the card for today. Thanks so much!
