Hang In There!

Hello, Tallie here with you again today. Sometimes, you just need a supportive ‘Hang in There’ to help you along your way. My card today uses the Hang in There Jumbo Sentiment Dies along with an old favourite – the UnbeLEAFable stencil – to create this bright and ink-blended panel.

I started out by blending over a light layer of Mowed Lawn Distress Ink onto a white card panel. I started off light so I could come over with the UnbeLEAFable stencil to create a layered foliage look. For some of the leaves, I added a little bit of Pine Needles Distress Ink to deepen up the stems and give some dimension and variation.

Next, I die cut two panels with the Hang in There Jumbo Sentiment Dies. One I coloured with Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey, the other with the same Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles Distress Ink.

For the sentiment, I stamped the ‘thinking of you today’ sentiment from the Close At Heart Sentiment stamps onto a strip of cardstock inked with the same Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey Distress Inks. I used a die from the Strips of Ease to help me cut a straight strip!

The final touch was to add a few highlights of white gel pen to give some dimension to the otherwise flat die cuts.

A pretty simple design that is sure to cheer up anyone who is going through a rough patch! This type of design would work well with any of the Jumbo Sentiment dies matched with any of the Heffy stencils.
