Guest Designer Rubeena | Honey Bunny Boo

Hello, crafty friends! I’m Rubeena from A Rare Ruby – super excited to be a guest for Heffy Doodle! Lesley is such a sweetheart, and I am thankful for the opportunity to work with some of her cute products. I created two cards for you, using a few sets.

Heffy Doodle Stamps

I started by stamping various images from Honey Bunny Boo stamp set onto white cardstock using a Copic-friendly black ink. How cute are these bunnies?!

A lot of people color white bunnies, but I recently expanded my collection of gray Copic markers so I wanted a reason to use them. I used the Toner grays for these cuties.

I fussy cut all the images and then focused on making the cards. For the first one, I blended Distress Oxide ink in Mermaid Lagoon onto white cardstock and then added shimmer spray (hard to see in photos). I used green Copic markers to color in my own grass at the bottom and then I arranged some of the bunnies and carrots with foam tape over the grass.

For the sentiment, I stamped them from Lucky Friends with VersaMark ink and heat-embossed with white embossing powder. I trimmed it down and mounted it over the blue sky with foam tape.

For the second card, I die-cut white cardstock with a scallop border die and then a repeating circles die in the center.

Using the die-cut circles, I blended various Distress Oxide inks on my base. Then I mounted the cut sheet over the base with foam tape. I placed all the bunnies and carrots in the circles with foam tape as well.

For the sentiments, I stamped the speech bubble from Whatcha Sayin’ using a very light blue pigment ink and then stamped the sentiments with black ink. I fussy cut the speech bubbles and arranged them around the bunnies with foam tape. Usually my sentiments are white embossed on black cardstock but I thought I’d try something different. I love the speech bubbles and the sentiments!

If you’re a fan, I’d love for you to follow me at A Rare Ruby or Instagram, where I share so much inspiration every week! Thank you so much to Heffy Doodle for featuring me and for everyone else who stops by! Have a fabulous crafty week!
