Get Well Soon Bed Heads

Happy Friday Darlings! It’s Jo Laverty here with another blog for you all. Today I want to share with you a card I made using the sweet ‘Bed Heads‘ stamp set and some fun patterned paper taken from the ‘Summer Holiday‘ pad.

If you would like to find out how I made this fun little ‘get well soon’ card, read on for the step-by-step tutorial.

Background Components

Using a light pink cardstock from Heffy Doodles ‘Multi Pack 8.5″ x 11″ Cardstock‘ pack and the beautiful ‘Stitched Hearts‘ background die, run both through a die cut machine. I trimmed the edges slightly using Heffy Doodles ‘Mini Paper Trimmer‘ to fit my card design. Next, taking the largest and third largest rectangle from the ‘Mini Scalloped Imperial‘ die set, and a sheet of paper from the ‘Summer Holiday‘ pad, I ran all elements together through a die machine to create a scalloped frame. I added double sided tape to the back of the pink cardstock, and foam tape to the back of the yellow patterned paper.

Images

Using Heffy Doodles ‘Alcohol Friendly Marker Cardstock‘, I stamped and die cut a range of cute images from the ‘Bed Heads‘ stamp set. I used Ohuhu alcohol markers to color in the images and used a white Gelly Roll pen to add in some highlights.

Sentiment

Using a bright pink cardstock from Heffy Doodles ‘Multi Pack 8.5″ x 11″ Cardstock‘ pack, I heat embossed a sentiment from the ‘Bed Heads‘ stamp set, using WOW! Embossing’s yellow ‘Wheatfields’. I then die cut the sentiment and added some thick foam tape to the back.

Embellishments

To finish off the card, I adhered the images to the pink background using some thin foam tape and added some enamel dots from the ‘Wildflowers‘ set.

I hope you enjoy this card and the step-by-step tutorial. Don’t forget to tag Heffy Doodle in all your HD creations so that we can show them some love. Crafty Hugs, Jo x
