Hi Heffydoodlers, Ali here hoping to make you giggle with this cute card today! Do you think it’s to early to be fed up with my New Years Resolutions? 🙂 🙂
I used the little elephant from the Elephant of Surprise set (HDS, BRI, SSS, ATC) – I thought he/she looked like they were attempting a workout or at the least doing a star jump of sorts (relatable, haha!). I stamped the elephant out in Memento ink and added a sweat-band and tank-top with my copic multi-liner (SSS). I then coloured her with copic markers (cool greys C1, C3, C5 and pinks RV11, RV13, RV 21). I stamped the little water droplets out in Memento ink too and coloured them with copics (B00, B01). I die cut the elephant (HDS, SSS, BRI) and fussy-cut the droplets.
Next, I sponged some distress ink (picked raspberry, spun sugar) onto smooth paper, die cut with a circle die and splattered with water. I trimmed a little off the base of the circle. I cut a backing piece of white card and placed my circle upside down to use as a guide for my letter stamping. I used the Jet Alphabetters (HDS, SSS,BRI, ATC) to stamp out #fitnessgoals2018 in Versafine black ink. I stamped out the “Meh” and “Whose Idea Was This” from Honeybee Stamps, Blah, Blah, Blah Set (SSS, BRI) onto a strip of black card, in versamark ink and white embossed.
To assemble, I used a white base card and cut a piece of pink card to layer under my base piece. I placed on my base piece, adhered the trimmed ‘circle’, the elephant (popped up with 3d foam), and the water droplets. I then adhered the sentiment strip along the bottom. Lastly, I put tiny amounts of glossy accents on the water droplets.
Hope it made you smile and that you are doing better than me with your New Years Resolutions!!
