Feel Cheddar Soon!

Hey Heffy Doodlers!

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today!

You guys know the saying–everything’s bettuh with chedduh!! So today I’ve got a card that incorporates one of my favorite things–cheese!!

This card was really easy to pull together thanks to some card sketches that I had saved on my phone from Pinterest. If you’re ever stuck on ideas for how to pull together a card in an interesting way, go back and revisit all those pins you’ve saved and actually USE them! 🙂

I started out by stamping the images from the Hello Squeakheart stamp set on to white cardstock with copic safe black ink (this one from Hero Arts is what I use). I then colored them with my copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I then cut down a 4.25 x 5.5 inch piece of white cardstock to use as a card panel. I used a circle die  to cut a circle window from the front of the card panel.

I then dug around in my scrap drawer to find a piece of patterned paper that I could use for behind the window panel. I cut and scored a 4.25 x 5.5 inch card base and then laid the window panel on top of the card base. I used a pencil to draw light pencil lines around the circle to make a mark on the card base so that I’d know where to put my patterned paper, and then I glued the patterned paper scrap on to the card base to completely cover the area where the window would show.

Now, back to the card panel!

I put a bunch of foam tape on the back of my window panel and then placed it down on top of the card base. Then, I put some foam tape on the back of my images and placed them around the window, making sure there was some overlap between the window area and the circle edge.

I then stamped the sentiment on to a piece of Kraft cardstock with Versamark ink before white heat embossing it. I trimmed it down and then finished off the card by popping up that sentiment strip on a piece of foam tape and placing it on the front of the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and if you’re feeling down, hopefully these cheery mice will help you feel cheddar soon!
