EASY Ink Blended Scene

Hello Heffy Doodle Friends!

It’s Jarle here with a SIMPLE and EASY scene card today!

For this card, I started with ink blending a purple oval, by using the Oval Masquerade stencil. I used Distress Oxide inks in the colors: Shaded Lilac, Villainous Potion and Black Soot. Then I added some white splatters with white gouache. Attention: you can not remove the stencil at this point or the splatters will go everywhere on your card panel.

When this was dry, I took the negative space of the stencil (the oval itself) and placed it on top of my ink blended oval. Then I blended on some Milled Lavender all around.

This stencil is SOOOO fun to work with! I love that you can blend a whole panel with both pieces of the stencil.

After all the blending I stamped some images from the Let’s Hang Out stamp set with MFT extreme black ink on alcohol friendly cardstock. Then I took a very limited amount of Copic colors and colored the images. You can find the colors on my coloring map below. I added some white gel pen details as well and of course I die cut the images with the coordinating dies.

I trimmed down my panel to about 4 x 5 1/4 inches so I would have a little border all around. Then I arranged my images how I wanted them. I chose a sentiment out of the same Let’s Hang Out stamp set and put it on the center of the panel. After prepping my panel with anti static powder, I heat embossed the sentiment in white.

It did look a bit too plain in my opinion, so I decided to stamp 3 little bats on the scene with Versafine Onyx black ink (a very juicy ink). After that, I put down my images with foam squares. Then I adhered my little scene on a trimmed down panel of the purple paper in the Men Cave paper pad. My card eventually turned out as a standard A2 size (4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches).

As you can see, you don’t need a sophisticated scene to make a card for someone you love. I hope I gave you some inspiration. I will be back soon.

Love, Jarle x
