Easter Bunnies Card with Interactive Tab

Hello Heffydoodlers!

Ali here with more Easter fun with this pull-tab interactive card using the absolutely adorable Honey Bunny Boo stamp set and dies.  But before I tell you about my card…. a little about my week – We have an outage in our area with no internet, TV or home phone this week for 4 days!! Eeeekkkk! It was slow going with the blog posts and uploading pictures etc this week but I managed! It was a little frustrating to say the least! Anyway, in the big scheme of things, it was a small problem to have and by the time this goes up all should be back to normal (hopefully!!!!)

To begin this card, I used a kraft card base and a piece of purple patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn perfectly Plaid Rainbow 6×6 paper pad.  I also used a piece of green from the same pad to cut some grass using the grassy hillside die from Lawn Fawn. I cut some clouds with the Avery Elle Peirced Clouds die.   I adhered the purple & green pieces and clouds to the kraft card base.

I cut an extra piece of kraft card and used an My Favorite Things border die to cut the stitched ground piece. I used my scalpel to cut some slits in this ground piece in order to tuck some carrots in later!  I stamped out the bunnies, eggs and carrots from the Honey Bunny Boo set and coloured them with Copics (Cool Greys).  I cut them out with the corresponding dies.

To make the slider piece, I cut a tab of kraft card and stamped “to somebunny awesome” on it in Versafine ink. I then attached the eggs to the top. I constructed the slider element as shown in the diagram below.

I popped up the ground piece with 3D foam making sure my slider element could slide freely and with some 3D foam at the bottom of the slider so that it did not fall out at the base of the card. I then adhered the ground piece to the card, along with the bunnies and carrots (tucking them in the slits cut previously).

I stamped a ‘pull here’ instruction on the eggs with an arrow, using the Interactively Yours Stamp Set.

Hope you enjoyed this card and that gives you some inspiration for Easter Cards.  Along with the card this week, I made a treat box that co-ordinates with it for my Butterfly Reflections Ink blog post – here it is if you didn’t catch it.

Thanks for joining me and I’ll see you again next time!!

Ali xx
