Creative Color Combos – Corgi Fun

Hello friends! It’s Ashley today with a new Creative Color Combo for you! I wanted to play with some brighter colors this week and found this fun combo online:

I used these colors to bring to life an idea I’ve had in my head since I first saw the Close the Gate die. I took one of the corgis from Oh Crumbs and had him get stuck on the top!

I started by blending Pinkfresh Studio inks in Sparkling Rose and Apricot on white cardstock with the Cloudy Skies stencil to create my pink and orange sky. I blended more Pinkfresh Studio inks in Aquamarine and Sapphire and die cut the pieces with the Grassy Lass dies to create some aqua and navy grass. I cut the Close the Gate die out of white cardstock twice, cutting one of the doors off before adhering them to my card. I cut the gate hardware out of metallic gold cardstock.

I stamped several images from different Heffy Doodle sets with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink onto the new Heffy Doodle Alcohol Marker Friendly cardstock so I could color with Copics. The markers blend beautifully on this paper! I used the corgis from Oh Crumbs, the doghouse from Who Let the Dogs Out, and the ball and dirt pile from Hot Diggity Dog. I cut everything out with the matching dies and added them to my card. I cut around the corgis front legs a bit, so I could slide him further down the gate. I stamped the sentiment from Who Let the Dogs Out in VersaMark ink and embossed with white. I finished with a few jewels in matching colors.

I just love how this card turned out! The little corgi behind on the other side of the gate is too adorable! Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
